Weekend in VA

During Memorial Day weekend, we spent time at a house on the Potomac in VA with some friends. It was very relaxing and the weather was beautiful. Owen had a great time with everyone, and made lots of new friends. The other baby, Alexa, and her dog, Ranger, were both big fans of Owen!

Cheverly Day

My hometown, Cheverly, has a special day every year. This year, it was hot and humid, but Owen was a champ! We saw lots of friends, Grandma June, and some of my current and former students! We didn't stay long due to the heat and incoming thunderstorm. Owen looks forward to next year when he can run around!

5 months

(How in the world has it been 5 months??)

On May 15, Owen turned 5 months old! He's been very busy: rolling over, drooling, eating his feet, talking and babbling away, and putting everything possible into his mouth. He's a lot of fun, and loves to laugh at Momma and Daddy when they're being silly. He also loves people, and watching people talk. Here is his 5 month photo, and some outtakes, as well, because he's too cute!

Mother's Day and a BIG week!

Today is Mother's Day. We had a wonderful day. Dan and Owen made it very special for me, and I am so blessed to have celebrated my first Mother's Day. We went to church and then went to brunch with my parents. Then we mostly sat home in food comas...

 We noticed that Owen has been making some huge changes recently. He's finally in 3-6 month clothes, uses the exersaucer at day care, and learned to get his feet into his mouth.
